Handsome  B’tards get Season back on track, thrash  Bac to revenge their 3-2 loss early in the season .Minsk  3 –Bac f.c  2

As the interim gaffer Brian is enjoying his rare run of two wins out of two, there was more brilliant football from the H’Basturds   at the My dihn sports complex yesterday. The Gaffer sticked to his initial eleven that brought him the 3 points in the previous game apart from a few new changes that saw the introduction of Viet An to start in place of the In form Cooper G and  enterprising Huy in place of defence stelwart  Brandon at the left Back.It was good news also for the gaffer to have Sebs back in the squad.,on the side lines,Steve,Dan  ‘the Rock’ Dockery,Aidan and the ever present technical advisor and Super Sub  Colm. From the word go,Minsk showed that they had come for nothing less or more than the 3 points and Viet Anh justified why he was fit to start in place of the in form Cooper G with a well taken shot right in the left corner of the net.How they featured

Jose-  7/10.

New recruit Jose continued to justify that fact that he deserves the price tag of 300,000vnd that Minsk paid to acquire his services earlier on in the season as a second goalie to the ever shining Ali.His game reading throught the game was superb and he often initiated our counter attacks with good drop in kicks to the strikers that saw the Big Minsk striker Conla break away but had little support in the end in the first half. Also good news to the gaffer is that the 16 year olod golie has commited his future to Minsk after speculations in the marca times that Hanoi capitals were chasing the young star after his brilliant show a fortnight ago at Hoang Cau.

Brian – 9-10

Coach player Brian continued to proved Versitile in the squad as he called him self upon in a new role at right back. The gaffer was again outstanding in his new role always winning 50-50 balls and then releasing good balls on the right for the dashing twin strikers Viet An and conla. He made the work seem so easy for our central defenders  Dani ‘Nesta’ Burns  and Antonio ‘Blanc’ as he often went in to cover them up for the loose balls.Should be the new Roy Keane in the squad.

Huy 8 –10

After a slow start to the Season due to his ankle injury,Huy has regained his full fitness and he was a joy to watch at left back as he out played his opponent not only defensively but also offensively. The short and stout defender often made good runs on the left and put in quality balls to our fowards that looked sharp on the day and were willing to run down the Bac defenders,The Gaffer should have a tough task  when the  ever reliable Brandon is fit again.

Dani’nesta’ Burns

8-10

The towering defender again showed that his previous perfomances have not been a fluke. With the hardworking Brian inter changing all the time to cover the two defenders,Dani enjoyed one of his best games as he found less trouble in keeping out the bac strikers. He often laid off good passes to the midfield which were very essential in the build up play throught the game.

Antonio – 9-10

Antototototototo again showed that his one of the best Libero if not the best in the league. The left footed defender was superb in  his game reading and made a couple of decisive tackles in the first half that helped Minsk to protect their lead.He was also calm with the ball thus giving our midfielders  a good link btn def and mid thus keeping scotish Mark and Mattew alive throught the game. With Antoto’s continued super perfomances, the gaffer would be happy if the skillfull defender commits his future to the club  before the January transfer window as rumuors continue to speculate that Drink team sports directo is out to splash a Multi million Dong offer for the stylish defender.

Mark – 10-10

With the scottish internatinal getting fitter, the big midfielder showed why the gaffer has kept faith in him despite his slow start to the campaign with some brilliant defence splitting passes and often providing the balance btn Mid and def which has been a vital problem for the team in the previous games earlier in the Season. His continued game reading throught the game and anticipation kept our defence covered as a continued supply of quality balls to the center forwards.Mark again bravely took  responsiblity of one of Minsk final dead balls thus slotting a super free kick that finally hit the post to find the hungry Ugandan goal hunter  who finished it off.

Douglas

.The young enterprising winger was instrumental in unsettling the Bac defenders with his continued runs wide and across the midfield. His overrall contribution has improved as he often went back to defend and then also getting involved in the counter attacks.Should be a player to watch next Season .

Richard –

Rasta man  had a great perfomance from the word go as he stuck to his style of trying to keep the ball and releasing penetrating passes to the inform looking Big Irish center forwad. His trickeries were a big problem to the bac team especially in the second half as minsk were hunting for a winning goal,it gave a cutting edge in all the build up plays that were orchestrated from defence and often ended up either in corners or the Bac goal keeper making a save.Keep it up Rasta.

Conla –

with the race for the golden boot still wide open,at three goals, the big tall center forward was back to bussiness as he showed flashes as why he is regarded as the Neil Quinn of Minsk f.c,Often winning balls in the air to set up his team mates and making surging runs left and right that put alot of pressure on the Bac defence. The Big striker also kept the ball upfront very well all though at times lacked support to play one-twos with the on ward coming mids. Was full of energy throught the 90 minutes.

Viet Anh,

7-10

With the gaffer looking to extend his winning trend,Viet An  sent a message to the Gaffer that he is not just a back up striker and he is ready to rub shoulders with the established  forwards at Minsk thus opening his goal account with a beautiful taken strike that put Minsk ahead and gave the team a good rythm at the start. He also created space for the midfield as he made good runs off the defenders which allowed the energetic Australian Matthew  making offensive runs through the Mid.More goals to come as competetion is stiff and the gaffer has made it clear that no body  has a guaranteed place in the team and the least he wants is dedication and sacrifice for points.

Matthew

Matt was again on top of his game offensively and defensively. His work rate was outstanding and second to none as he often won balls and went forward with ease which gave a good numerical advantage to the team in times of attack. He has also proved that he is an all round player and vital to the team in all positions.Keep it up ‘Gattuso’

Giles Cooper’ 8-10

Another brilliant perfomance by the man most people regard as the new ‘winton Ruffer’  formerly with werder Bremen.Giles continued with his superb scoring form with a well taken strike that sent Minsk upfront in the second half thus taking his goal tally to four in eight starts..He was often a threat to the Bac defenders due to his physical presence and speed. He had a couple of good runs in the first and second half and the gaffer will be happy that his striker is back to scoring ways.Tipped to win the golden boot.

Johny – 7-10

J  was again very influential in keeping things tight both in the Mid and defence,he provided the stability the team needed to stop the Bac f.c winger thus peddling back often to support Brian defensively  as well as laying off qucik passes on the counter for the center forwards.Did very well when we lost Huy due to Injury and often looked calm on the ball.

D. J Paulo 6-10

With the D.J returning from injury,he did not expect to find it easy especially coming back  when we are facing Bac the league table leaders, however the speedy winger had a couple of good runs and had some decent touches  on the right in the first half and it was a good sign that he should get better in the coming games after the break.

Sebs-7-10

Played in a new role as winger  but still showed that he can cause the damage from the left,Sebs defended very well when we lost the bal and also laid off some good balls to the strikers in both the first and second half,he made work seem easy for Huy as he treked back and stood in the right position defensively thus there was less trouble on the left .

Gareth. 4-10

Still recovering from Injury but should be ready for the future games.Gareth gave a few  coaching tips from the sidelines and often liased with technical advisor Colm on  on matters regarding team perfomance at the time.Welldone Gareth

Steve  -3-10

Returning from a bussiness trip,Steve gave his support to the team throught the game  on the sidelines, that is typical of the Minsk team spirit.Keep it up ‘Stevo’

Colm  5-10

Popularly known as the professor for his undertsnding of the game and calm approach to technical issues. Was very vital in assessing and giving afew tips to the Minsk Subs all throught the game thus the perfomance of the subs can be attributed to the tips the professor continued to give to the lads.Well done Colm.

Dan ‘ the rock’Dockery – 3-10

His presence to the cause gave a good lift to the lads as team wanted to dedicate the win to the ‘ Rock’  who is regarded as a ‘do or die ‘ character when ever it comes to misk games.Should be back in a few months  to cause team selection headache for the gaffer in defence.

Aidan  4-10

The Multi functional defender showed that  not even the injuries he sustained a couple of weeks ago could stop him from cheering the Mighty Minsk and doing his  loved thing on the sidelines.Well done Aidan

Sebastian 3-10.

Good to have him back although the gaffer did not want to risk him as he lacks the match fitness.Should be ready for next game.
